The Italian legislative ordinance 196/2003 has introduced a code about the protection of personal data.

- The subjects, or categories of subjects to whom the personal data can be communicated or made known as designed representative in the territory of the State, people appointed or in charge

- The updating , the rectification, meaning, if interested, the integration of data
- The deletion, the conversion to anonymous, or the blocking of his/her own personal data, including the one that doesn't need to be kept
- The information on the ways of communication and circulation of his/her own personal data, except when this is impossible to get or implies the use of means manifestly disproportionate to the protected right
The person concerned has the right to completely or partially object, for legitimate reasons, to the processing of personal data that refers to him/her if related to the purpose of the collection for the processing of personal data.
